When Should You Book Your Catering?
Thirty days out for large events, fourteen for mid-sized, three for casual — the reasoning behind each deadline, and what happens when the request comes late.
The question that reaches our team most often is not about the menu. It is about timing: when should catering be booked?
The short answer is the earlier the better. But there is guidance more useful than that sentence.
Three deadlines we recommend
- Thirty days for large events. Weddings, gala dinners, or company celebrations at scale. This window leaves room for food tasting, menu building, and coordination with the venue.
- Fourteen days for mid-sized events. Office gatherings, seminars, family thanksgivings.
- Three days for casual occasions. Meetings, small gatherings, or limited box orders.
For anything shorter, please still reach out. We will try, and we will discuss the possibility openly — better that we say so at the start than that your event suffers on the day.
What actually takes the time
Not the cooking. What takes time are the small decisions made before the kitchen starts: how many guests will truly attend, how the courses should follow the run of show, whether any guest has dietary restrictions, and how the setup adapts to the shape of the room.
With more than 800 dishes on offer — Indonesian, Western, Asian and Mediterranean — arriving at the right list takes a conversation, not a catalogue.
Minimum order
Twenty-five guests for buffet and for meal boxes. For more intimate occasions we can serve from twenty, with an adjustment to the Minimum Service Charge.
Tasting before deciding
Food tasting is available, and you need not travel to Bogor for it — we can deliver the tasting to your home or office. For larger events this is the step we most recommend taking early, because the result often reshapes the menu.
